  1. Ok, I just pinned this, it might be exactly what I’m looking for. I’m having a boy but I’ve always been a firm believer that the diaper bag is for the mom more than for the baby and can still be pretty with a boy baby!

  2. I just love this bag! My kids are older but I’d carry this around anyway! Beautiful!

  3. so pretty abby! It looks really well done and loaded with useful stuff

  4. Wow! I just purchased this pattern and I am SO impressed with how clearly it’s written, and how beautifully illustrated by the photos! I was a little daunted by 46 pages, but in fact it’s done incredibly well and I am super excited to start! thanks so much!

  5. Such a cute pattern :-)You never cease to amaze me Abby!

  6. Just bought the pattern & pinned it. I have been looking for a great diaper bag pattern & this is it.
Question – what heavy duty interfacing did you use or would you recommend?

  7. Belinda – I like to use Pellon 950F ShirTailor – it’s quite stiff and does a great job to help a bag keep it’s shape :).

  8. Love it!

  9. This looks great, like the look of the wide strap for comfy carrying

  10. I wish I could just buy the bag…feeling too lazy to sew it! Ha! And cute name choice…is this an announcement of your baby girl’s name?? ;) good luck with everything, I keep waiting to hear your news!

  11. This is SO fantastic!!

  12. This is gorgeous!! If I didn’t already have a new-ish diaper bag, I’d totally buy this pattern today! :)

  13. Love this bag! Although I must say, I’m intimidated by sewing it! Zippers and heavy fabrics have never been my strong point….

  14. Hi!
i just stumbled across your blog and love this bag! do you ever make and sell items? i would love one of these bags but my sowing skills are very basic! let me know!

  15. Abby, what is the easiest way to go about cutting this pattern? I just got the download and I’m a little bit overwhelmed! The four front pattern pieces are they to be cut then taped together and then used as a pattern piece? What’s the best way to approach this? I may just be a bit panicky because I have a limited amount of time to get this done for my daughter. Im having surgery the week of the fourth of July, and her baby’s due August 7th. Once I have my surgery I’ll be down for a month! Eek!

  16. Hi Kendra! I don’t make items to sell, but I wish I could say that I did! I just don’t have the time, and I have to say that designing patterns is where my heart is! I am working on a few licenses right now with others to make and sell the bags though, and I’ll be sure to announce it on the blog when they’re ready!

  17. I love the fabric of the example bag! What are they?

  18. MamatoMany – Thanks, I do too :). It’s Joel Dewberry’s Heirloom line, in home dec weight!

  19. The design of the fabric and your pattern. Having many things to put in a bag is a fact for girls and this bag can hide those bulky things. I’m impressed.
