Long Sleeved Polly Peasant Blouse

It only took me half of winter to finally make a long sleeved Polly Peasant Blouse for Lola.

I found the knit fabric in the clearance isle at JoAnn one day – who could resist the shimmery polka dots?! Not me, apparently.

Although the pattern has short sleeves, it was simple to add long sleeves by just adding length to each sleeve piece.

I obviously also omitted the sleeve elastic. I originally was going to keep it in, but like it better without so just sewed up the casing opening that I had created.

I took these photos on a day when the sun decided to peek out from behind the clouds for a minute. By the time I got Lola dressed, the sun was gone. That’s a Seattle winter for ya.

It’s getting harder and harder to keep Lola in one place for more than a second. She’s now army crawling where ever she pleases, which keeps me on my toes and reminds me of everything that is yet to be baby proofed.

She’s still a little doll though, very patient with her older brothers and their antics. And one day I know that she’ll let me sleep through a whole night. Or maybe even more than three hours at a time. I’ll take what I can get :).
