Sale, Pattern Tour, and I’m Leaving on a Jet Plane

I hope all of you in the US are enjoying your Memorial Day. Just for fun, all patterns are 20% off with code MEMORIAL20, today only! And of course the code is good whether you’re celebrating Memorial Day or not :).

Speaking of patterns, I’m super excited to kick off the Seafarer Top Pattern Tour this week! We have an amazing line up of 9 bloggers that will be sharing their Seafarers and it will be a lot of fun to see them all.

Our long weekend has been fairly low key, but later this week I’m off for a fun adventure! I’m leaving the kids with Joel (this would be the first time EVER!) and heading to LA for the first annual Fabric Weekend. I’ll be joining about 20 fabulous bloggers, and we’re going to shop till we drop! It was the brainchild of Andrea from The Train To Crazy, and despite being in the middle of a cross country move and the million other things she does, she’s put together a weekend that I feel so lucky to be able to attend. Justine from Sew Country Chick and Bev from Flamingo Toes have also put a lot of work into the details of the weekend, and all of us who are attending are so lucky to benefit from their generosity!

One shop that I’m especially excited for is Michael Levine. I’ve heard from several different bloggers how great the whole store is, but knits by the pound? Yes, please! I’m sure I’ll have at least one suitcase entirely full of knits and will definitely be showing you my finds afterwards. If you’re not planning a trip to LA anytime soon (this will also be my first time to LA ever), they also have an online store, lowpricefabric.com where you can score some great deals.

Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts is also a sponsor of Fabric Weekend, and I know most of us can agree that they always have just what we need – and somehow I always “need” more than I thought when I make a trip.

Even more exciting than the suitcases of fabric that I’ll be bringing home is that I get to meet and hang out with blogging friends who I haven’t yet met in person. We also get to attend a Girl’s Night Out on Saturday, thanks to Jess from Me Sew Crazy and Jo-Ann. Needless to say, I’ve been counting down the days and can’t believe it’s finally almost here!

  3. How exciting! You’re going to have a great time. Don’t forget to check out Michael Levine’s Loft across the street from the home store. You can buy fabric by the pound! Oh, and if you can, check out M & L Fabric in Anaheim. You’re definitely going to need even another suitcase…

  4. I can’t wait to see your creations! Helpful hint; Michael Levine Loft is CLOSED on Sundays. Trust me, I was just there on Sunday :(
