Floral + Camo Lane Raglan

Lane RaglanI’ve been dying to share this Lane Raglan (pattern by Hey June Handmade) that I made a little while ago, but I keep wearing it instead of photographing it. Vicious cycle…

I shortened the sleeves so that it would be good for summer, and it’s been one of my most worn tops lately.

The length is nice and long, and I’d like to make another one without the hem band as well, or maybe make it into a hi-lo hem.

Lane RaglanThe pattern was a quick sew (would have been quicker if I hadn’t made a few mistakes along the way), and it would be a great project for even a beginner.

Both fabrics came from Girl Charlee, and you may remember the floral fabric from the Suncadia Dress Free Pattern that I shared not too long ago. I looove this fabric (obviously), and wish that I had more of it! It has great stretch recovery, is super comfortable without being too thin, and has washed really well. The camo fabric, on the other hand, pilled quite badly during the initial prewash, which I was so disappointed about because I love the look of it and the unexpected look of the floral and camo together.

The verdict? I loved this pattern and am happy to have a new staple top pattern to add to my collection!

  1. Oh that’s so strange, my camo fabric pilled like crazy too! (Different manufacturer). Maybe it’s a camo thing? Anyway, just love this top so much, looks so cute on you :)

  2. So funny because I am laying here in my sewing room putting the kids to bed because it’s hot every where else and looking right at that floral fabric in my stash. I love it and have very little left.
