First, measure loosely around the crown recipient’s head and use wire cutters to cut the covered floral wire that length plus ½”. Measuring loosely is important as the crown circumference will decrease a bit once the greenery is attached.
Overlap the two ends ½” and use the thin floral wire to secure together. Be sure to tuck ends of wire under itself to avoid any sharp edges in the finished crown!
Cover thin floral wire with wire tape for extra security.
Begin by attaching greenery around outside of crown, securing with thin floral wire and floral tape (depending on type/placement of greenery, one may work better than the other so use what works best for you!).
Once crown is covered with greenery, begin to place flowers as desired on crown, tucking ends into thin floral wire, and using glue gun and glue sticks to secure pieces in place as needed.
Continue to add flowers to crown until your look is completed! You can add just a few flowers, or cover the entire crown with flowers – there really is no wrong way to make it!
Great job!
Dress up your favorite winter outfit, add some pop to your family photos, or just enjoy wearing a pretty crown!
