Need some inspiration?
Have you ever considered checking your local library for some fresh ideas? A lot of sewers and crafters aren’t aware that most libraries carry a big collection of sewing and crafting books. In my area, the Salt Lake County Libraries carry books from Amy Butler’s Little Stitches for Little Ones to Heather Ross’ Weekend Sewing, and even have new books like Martha Stewart’s Encyclopedia of Sewing and Fabric Crafts on order for when they arrive (Martha’s comes out this March).
These books can be pretty pricey to buy, so I love the idea of borrowing from the library. It’s a great way to enjoy many more books than if you had to buy each one!
Thanks, Abby. I think I’m going to go renew my library card. That is a really great tip.
Looks like you have a wonderful library. We live in a tiny little town and the library doesn’t have much for books but I’m still thankful we have one. The neighboring town is a bit better. I should go thre more often. Thanks

I agree! Libraries are great places to check out crafting books. I love browsing the “vintage” crafting books as well.
ooo, good to know. I just got acquainted with my library a little while back. I am going to have to do a search!
