Chair Makeover: Before and After

Earlier I showed you this chair that I got at DI for $8.

Then, after a $4 can of red spray paint and one very interested onlooker…

And as always, after the paint came the distressing.
I love how the dark finish came through under the red.

For $12 and a bit of elbow grease, I’ve already got some great use out of it (as you can see, it made it’s way into some of our apron pattern cover shots) and I think it’ll be a fun little addition to have in my sewing room.

  34. Just came across your blog! I love your RED chair! Can you tell me the color of spray paint you used to paint that chair? I have red all through out my house…it is so hard to find a good RED! Thank You!

  35. Can I ask what color paint that is? I have 4 of these exact chairs and instead of buying new ones, I thought I could paint them but was nervous about this type of bulkier chair being painted.

    It turned out great!
