Two More Blankets

I got a couple more simple serged receiving blankets done before we moved. At the time, I was thinking I was just about blanketed-out, but now that I haven’t had access to my machine for a bit, I’m ready to tackle the rest of my projects!

Both prints are from JoAnn – I bought the polka dots years ago but they still keep it regularly in stock. It was nice to use up a couple more flannel prints from my stash – it’ll soon be time to start re-stocking!

  1. I made several of these for my last baby and loved them. I made them 44″x44″ so they were big enough to swaddle her with, but they weren’t too thick and hot because they are only one layer, and so easy to make!

  2. Love making little flannel receiving blankets. And it’s always time to restock your stash when Joanns has their killer sales on flannels. :-) Thanks for sharing!

  3. Those will be so nice to have around in the summer! I love the prints! I’m so excited for you to have your sweet, little girl!

    1. I like simple quick projects like yours. With the blanket made for a new baby due in April, I used a pearl cotton in pink on my 4 thread Imagine serger with a wide edge. We really know how to treat people with our gifts and we get back by staying in practice. So win-win, since at nearly 67, my skills need more frequent sharpening.

      1. Good to hear Bonnie! I’m sure you have amazing skills :). And I’m jealous that you have an Imagine, lucky lady!

  4. Thank you for hosting! You always know how to throw a great party! Hope your week is lovely. :)
