Mommy and Daughter Dolman Top Patterns
Last week I showed you a couple of matching mom/baby tops that I made for one of my sisters and a niece, and today I get to show you a couple more!
Update: You can find the Seafarer Top Pattern (for women) HERE, and the Skipper Top Pattern (for girls) HERE!
I’m not sure who was more excited to have matching tops – Olivia or her mom, lol!
I’m lucky that they were both good sports and let me drag them around town for an evening of photos.
I’m getting super close to having the girls’ pattern (The Skipper Top) ready for testers, and have had so much fun making lots of different versions. If you thought the Seafarer was a quick sew, wait till you try the girls’ version! I haven’t gotten sick of making them yet, which is saying a lot for me :).
I found the hot pink knit at Michael Levine during Fabric Weekend, and love how soft and drapey it is. It’s a little more tedious to sew with than a heavier knit, but the end result was worth it.
As usual, there have been several changes to the pattern since I made this first top for Olivia. I’ve added length, adjusted the neckline, and made some other adjustments to find the perfect fit.
I think my favorite thing about this new pattern is the heart pocket option. I may have to add it on a top or two of my own :).
Cute, cute, cute! Love the hot pink and the adorable, little heart pocket. Pretty cute models too! :)

Cannot wait. I am so excited for this new pattern. My six year old will be even more excited, as she will be the recipient of all the new shirts, in a length that actually fits her!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to do this!
super cute! that little heart pocket is adorbs.
oh my gosh so cute!!!! I totally have enough floral knit to make my girl a skipper to match my seafarer too!!!! and how did you know the heart is my favourite shape!!!?
CUTE pattern, and I love your fabric choices! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
