Flashback Friday.
Here’s today’s Flashback Friday…
Today’s Flashback Friday has absolutely nothing to do with sewing or crafting, but that’s okay once in a while, right?ย While were in Canada we had a family reunion for Joel’s family at his Grandpa’s ranch. ย A lot of Joel’s growing up years were spent living and working on the ranch, so it wasย special for my kids to be able to spend time there.
It’s such a beautiful area, with great views of the mountains, and two different nights a bear even came into camp!ย Luckily Weston was NOT a happy camper (good one, Abby) the first night, so after thatย him and I stayed at Joel’s parents house 15 minutes away.ย I’m sure I would have been the bear’s first choice for a snack if Iย had beenย there, so I’ll thank Weston for that.
So where does a flashback fit into all this?ย We took the boys out to the ranch’s junkyard, where there were lots of old cars, trucks, tractors, and other machinery to look at and lots of trouble for Wyatt and Weston to get into!ย It was fun to see all the vehicles from years gone by.
Wyatt wasn’t too keen on sitting on trunks of cars…
He was only interested in driving them.
Joel’s dad built this “hot-rod” when he was a teenager.
I wish I had a picture of it back then, it would be fun to see it in it’s glory days.ย I can just imagine Joel’s dad cruising around in it!
That’s it for today, folks, hope you all have a great weekend!
