Kitchen Revamp Ideas With Home Depot

We’ve lived in our house for over a year now, and while I’ve loved most things about the kitchen, I don’t love the two-toned green paint. We’re renting the house, and are luckily allowed to paint, but it’s been hard knowing whether it’s worth it to put the time and effort in when we may only be here another year. Paint makes such a big difference though, that I think I’m going to just take the plunge and do it. A day of work is worth a year of enjoyment, right?

It seems that I’m at our local Home Depot at least once a week for one thing or another, and the other day I finally picked out some paint samples. Okay, I grabbed every single gray I could find :). We used one of the shades in our bedroom and a hallway wall already (Behr’s Gentle Rain), and although I’m super happy with the colors, I’m worried that they might look a little too purpley on the main floor and I might choose a different shade for the kitchen.

Have you found a great gray paint that you love?

This video from Home Depot gives some great ideas for revamping your kitchen – maybe it will even give you some new ideas to revamp your own kitchen!

  1. I just purchased a great shade of grey – beige for my master bedroom. It is called Revere Pewter from Benjamin Moore.

  2. do paint. we’re renting too, and we just finished painting the ENTIRE house. Erick was so kind to go along with MY plans. We did a grey in Emma’s room….Don’t remember the name. Grey is hard though! It can be so different when you get it on the wall.
    Good luck.

  3. I painted Behr gentle rain on my master bedroom walls and had to go back and re-do it with a darker shade of something bc it was most definitely too purple! Then, for one of our kid rooms we mixed 3 different cans of paint! I am not helping, I know, but yes to gentle rain being too purple-eey! ha!

  4. You can come look at the paint at my house! It is Benjamin Moore grey mirage. Sort-of a gray-green. We love it.
