My husband built me a mirror that slides open. Inside holds all my jewelry.
Those are cute! I love that they are magnetic. =) I’m not sure which of the handmade gifts I’ve received was the ‘best’ but the one I use the most often is a pincushion my sister made for me.
The best gift I received was a quilt from my grandmother when I was 16 years old. I have always loved it and now that she is gone, I treasure it even more.
Best homemade gift was bamboo sticks and homemade Christmas scent for my diffuser. Made my house smell fully of the holiday spirit!
Would love to win a sewing machine. The best homemade gift I remember as a child was the topsy turvy doll. One side was Little Red Riding Hood and the other the big bad wolf.
I am soooo excited that I have found your blog! My new favorite read/inspiration!
Early in our marriage my hubby made me a garden terrace for my birthday. It was really special because we were young and tight on money. He salvaged all the wood and it took him all day; when a pre-made kit would’ve went up in an hour. I loved that he put so much effort into giving me something nice without spending anything! Thanks for the giveaway:)
I became so excited when I saw this post! These will be a great gift! Thank you! Many years ago, my hubby went to a friend’s house for many nights and made me a “printer’s drawer” shelf unit for all my little collectibles.
A friend of mine made me a handmade notebook. She used a beautiful piece of leather and bound it herself.
I knew she didn’t have any money, so I didn’t expect a gift at all. It was so nice to get something so thoughtful.
I received a raggedy ann and andy doll from my mom when I was a kid. I still have them! They are huge!
A crocheted afghan my mom made me for my wedding.
My bestie sends homemade birthday cards. They are always awesome because they come from the heart!
I just received a thread catcher and I love it!
My mom made me a a large hibiscus table covering using a lace crochet that was amazing. I could never make intrigue designs like she could make.
I would have to say the BEST ever handmade gift I received was a China rag doll complete with clothes. I was 6 years old and had my tonsils out, my Grandmother made me this doll that had china head, arms and legs; the body was a cloth doll. She was old fashioned looking and just beautiful. My Grandmother said that she would help speed my recovery. I slept with that doll every night and even tho the doll is long gone now that I am older, I have the dress that was hand sewn and a few of her other clothes too. Thank you for the memory !!
What a quick and adorable idea these bias tape frames are!
The best handmade gift I have received has been from my daughter who cross stitched me a small picture that i assumed she was making for one of her teachers. It said world best teacher. But it was for me. She said I am the best teacher she has ever had and of course I was in tears.
The best homemade gift I received was a crocheted afghan from grandma for my 1st baby. All 5 of my babies used it and 32 years later my grandchildren are starting to use it. It’s a treasure

The best handmade gift I’ve received was an afghan made by my sister.
My grandkids painted a birdhouse for me that hangs in the tree outside of my house. Everyday I see it and think of them and the time they put into it. What a tressure.
My mom gave me a velvet scarf and clutch with bright threads in patterns on her sewing machine. They are still beautiful.
Last Christmas I got the most amazing flannel and fluffy white fake fur something or other blanket from my sister in law. My husband and I have lived under it every day since.
The best handmade gift I have ever received was a blanket made by my grandmother as a wedding gift. Years have gone since her passing and I am so thankful to have something that she put so much love into.
