Maternity skirt.

Last week I made this maternity skirt. I used the same tutorial that I used for the first maternity skirt I made, with one main change. Since I’m 32 weeks pregnant now and my belly is proof of that, I cut the front top of the skirt into a curve so that the waistband could sit under my belly. Otherwise the fabric will either bunch up under the waistband or you would have to pull the skirt up to an awkward spot on your belly.

  1. Oh my gosh, that skirt is soo cute. I am planning on using your tutorial in the next couple of months and making some for myself. I LOVE the ric rack at the bottom and I LOVE the fabric. It looks familiar. What line is it?

  2. I love the skirt! Great idea to have the skirt sit under the belly. It’s way more comfortable that way. I really like the fabric.

  3. Great job! The fabric + ric rack are so cute! I wish I had made some maternity skirts– instead I’ve just been wearing elastic waist non-maternity skirts down under my 39-week belly, and they end up being super long in front. But at this point, who cares:)

Best wishes with the rest of your pregnancy!

  4. I love the rick rack and the fabric you chose. I wish I would have had a few of these when I was pregnant. Maternity clothes (esp. those you can sew) get cuter and cuter.
