Review: VTech’s Switch & Go Dinos!

My two boys, ages 3 and almost 5, have two favorite toys: dinosaurs and cars. You can imagine my delight when I recently had the chance to review VTech’s Switch & Go Dinos™, which transform from a dino into a vehicle in just a few simple steps. Wyatt and Weston were super excited for their new toys and had them out of the boxes before I even had a chance to take a photo.

One thing I immediately noticed about the dinos is how easy they were for Weston, who is 3 years old, to transform on his own, yet Wyatt, my almost 5 year old, still finds it challenging enough to keep his attention. We’ve had other transforming toys in our home, and they always seem to be too complicated for the under 5 age, and it was fun to see Weston proud of himself for doing it on his own.

My boys have been playing with the dinos non-stop since they arrived, and the fact that they are still in one piece is a testament to their durability. Toys do not stay in one piece for long in our home, but the Switch & Go Dinos have proved to stand up to the challenge! They’ve been raced, dropped, and thrown (ahem, not allowed), and surely will go through many more adventures.

The toys also come with an LCD screen with customizable animations that are different when in vehicle or dino mode. I also love that the action buttons tell interesting dinosaur facts when in dino mode. It’s a great way for kids to learn some great info about dinosaurs without even realizing they’re learning! And starting at $15.99, there are 7 different, unique Switch & Go Dinos. They are great toys for such a reasonable price.
