Top 10 Posts of 2014

I know I am probably the last blogger around to post a roundup of my favorites from 2014, but I had so much fun looking back through the year, and wanted to share my favorite 10 posts with you! As I was pregnant at the beginning of 2014, I noticed that there wasn’t a lot of projects going on during that time. Go figure :).

I think my greatest accomplishment by far was the addition of Hattie Jane to our family. She is 9 months now, and crawling and pulling herself up everywhere. I can hardly believe she was once so tiny!

I did manage to release one new pattern before she was born, the Schoolboy Vest. I remember it feeling so good to get it finished with just days to spare before my due date.

Another project I was in a hurry to finish before Hattie was born was this DIY Herringbone Headboard. It is one of my very favorite things Joel and I have built.

I released this free Footed Baby Pants pattern after Hattie was born, and it was by far the most popular sewing post of the year. Who doesn’t love a free pattern, right? They are so cozy and perfect for gifts.

I must have been in an organizing mood during the summer. This Hutch Makeover was a big project, but one that has been so worth the effort! I absolutely love using it in my sewing room.

And another furniture DIY project came soon after. This Wood Crate Bookshelf was an easy project that has been perfect for holding my kids’ books!

And thanks to Christina’s series, I finally got my sewing room in order and got to show you around. It was a fun post to write – if only it always stayed so clean!

A few last favorites… In the Fall the Pretty in Peplum Dress & Top Pattern was released.

I also did some sewing for Halloween for my girls, and I’m still laughing at the thought of Hattie in her baby Elvis costume. I’m not usually one to spend much time on anything that won’t get worn more than once, but I just couldn’t resist, and it was such a fun project to make!

Lastly, it wasn’t long ago that I blogged about it, but this plaid Ottobre blazer that I made Wyatt for Christmas is probably my favorite thing I’ve ever made him, so I have to mention it. It was the first blazer I’ve sewn, and my first time working with Ottobre patterns, so it was a challenge on a few different levels, but I’m so proud of how it turned out!

Whew! Thank you all for reading. I truly appreciate each comment and you taking the time to share this little blog with me! Can’t wait to see what 2015 brings!
