Go Green Month… Giveaway!
It’s March 1st, and that means it’s the official start of Go Green Month here at Sew Much Ado! It will be month full of tutorials, guest posts, and reviews to help us all be a little kinder to our Earth. I certainly don’t claim to be an expert on the subject, which is precisely why I wanted to do this month long endeavour. Go Green Month is about making SMALL changes in whatever ways we can. Baby steps, right?
We’ll focus all month long on reducing, reusing, and recycling while we sew, craft, and live our everyday lives.
Luckily I have some SUPER guest bloggers lined up who are going to take over Sew Much Ado and share their knowledge and ideas with us. I promise you will not be disappointed!
What better way to start off our month of Green than a giveaway? Two readers will each win a pair of these toddler leg warmers made using my 10 Minute Toddler Leg Warmer Tutorial. It’s a great project to repurpose knee socks that you have laying around the house. If you’re wondering (and I know you are), the leg warmers I’m giving away were made with new knee socks I had in my fabric stash. They’ll be similar to the ones pictured but will each have different patterns.
Don’t have any kids? They can be used as arm warmers for teens or adults with a short sleeved shirt!
Here are the details:

Hi. To live a greener life I would like to create more homemade items and reuse/upcycle more things.
P.S. I love the leg warmers! They would be great for my neice!
Katy Rose.
I love to repurpose old items and these leg warmers are adorable! :)
And of course I’m a follower.
I’d like to do some wardrobe repurposing/refashioning this year. I have plenty of old things I don’t wear that would make super toddler clothes or fun things for me if I’d just invest the time.
I’m a follower!
I’d love to win! No girls, but hey, I’ve got neices, friends, friends of friends…I’m sure I could make them into a great gift!
Great idea Abby!

Fun! I’m trying to use up my fabric stash before buying new supplies and using thrifted fabrics when possible. [email protected]
I’m a follower, and I big time love leg warmers!
I posted your Go Green Button on my blog. http://sewbeeit.wordpress.com/

I love think these leg warmers are too cute.
okay, I should proof read..
Here is entry #1. I would say I would like to grow a successful garden and eat the veggies! (I tried last year, wasn’t very successful, and didn’t really end up eating them)
Just tomight while making dinner I noticed again how much plastic I throw away. My dh takes care of the recycling and garbage. He said the local dump doesn’t recycle plasic packaging. I’m going to find out for myself what they do recycle exactly and hopefully stop throwing so much of it away.
I’d like to find more uses for everyday things in my house! for examples, coffee tins make great flower vases!
just love those leg warmers. excited about your go green month. will be watching.
I need to buy fewer canned goods. Right now, I buy too many canned beans, when I should be buying dried beans in bulk — definitely healthier, too! Thank you for this sweet giveaway. I know my daughter would love them.

I’m a swiffer sweeper a’holic. Love those things. But I could try out a homemade flannel swiffer cloth to see if it does the job. I’m a follower and linked at curtiscourtneykleinman.blogspot.com
Cool idea and I’m loving the first tutorial. It’s motivating me to get down under the kitchen sink and organize it and find how many swiffers I have down there.
I also follow your post on Google reader. Love it.
These are adorable. My daughters’ are ice skaters and would get lots of use out of them.

I love those little cutie legwarmers, by the way!
I love to recycle things. It’s usually the only way I can afford the materials for craft projects…if they’ve come free. I just became a follower. :)
I posted your button in my sidebar at http://www.helpinglittlehands.blogspot.com/
I’d like to banish plastic from my home!

What cute legwarmers. I would love them for my three little girls! On the going greener note – I want to use more cloth “rags” cut from old, worn clothes and stop using paper towel. Right now we use both.
I’d like to get a bit better at upcycling. I recycle, etc but I’d like to take it a step farther
I’m following
I have a lot of clothing sitting around that needs to be upcycled into clothing for my kiddos. That is my goal this year.
