One More Blouse

I had been eyeing this zig zag knit at JoAnn every time I made a trip there for months, and finally came home with some one day.

I decided to make Lola another Polly Peasant Blouse with it, and still have enough leftover for another project… any suggestions? Maybe a summer skirt for Lola? Or leggings? I can’t decide.

I still haven’t managed to get sick of making these blouses. They’re so fast and easy to sew, and I love how easy they are to get on and off a constantly moving baby.

Did I mention that this girl does not stop moving?? It’s pretty fun (and cute), although a little tricky with two older brothers who like to leave tiny toys on the ground for her to find and of course try to eat.

She army crawls like a boss where ever she pleases.

And despite working on a second top tooth coming in (ahem, the dental hygienist in me has a hard time not saying central incisor), she’s still pretty sweet and easy going.

It’s hard to believe she’s 9 1/2 months already, and that I’ll have a one year old before too long. It makes me so sad to see her growing up, but also so excited at the same time for what’s ahead!

  1. So cute! The fabric looks like a garment that was actually knitted in stockinette stitch :) Love the colors. Our little one is 6 months and is cutting her bottom teeth and moving non stop..got to love this time of life.

  2. I’ve not tried the peasant in knit. It’s on my to do list now. And I had to laugh at your central incisor comment. I was a CDA for years and can get too technical with the info, too. (My son was born missing all four permanent lower incisors. My dentist boss said it was because I worked in the dental field…)

  3. You are right, this is the best pattern! So perfect for little kiddos. Oh, leggings would be adorable in this knit!

My “baby” just got her second central incisor (does that just mean front tooth? lol!) and she is 15 months old! With 4 teeth, she still has more than her older sister did at this age… who got her first at 15 months. :)

  4. Those pictures are adorable! She is such a cutie pie. I love that fabric, but then it would appeal to a knitter. Shame I’ve never seen anything like it in the UK, I would have snapped it up!

  5. I’ve been eyeing that same fabric too, but I couldn’t think of what I would make with it! Your top is lovely though, and of course babies just make everything even cuter!

  6. She is sooooo cute! I wish I could put things like this on my boy, dressing him is like trying to tie a knot in an eel lately. A cute, funny, dimply, giggling little eel, mind you.
