Heart Pillow Pattern – Free PDF Download
While I’m not the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day, I am a big fan of all of the projects that get to come with it! Today’s project is a perfect gift for the young or old (ahem, more mature?), or perhaps even for yourself! This DIY heart pillow has a built in pocket that’s perfect for hiding little Valentine’s Day treats or trinkets, and I’m sharing a free pdf pattern download and video tutorial with you. Let’s get to it, and before you know it you’ll have this easy DIY heart pillow pattern completed and ready to gift!
Like I said, Valentine’s Day brings so many opportunities for allll the fun heart projects. From a heart purse…
To a heart backpack…
To heart fabric and pockets, I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of Valentine’s Day sewing projects.
I did branch out from purely hearts at one point and made a lip purse, but today it’s hearts stealing the show once again.

Okay, back to today’s DIY Valentine’s Day sewing project. This heart pillow pattern is one of the quickest DIY Valentine’s Day sewing projects you’ll make, but it will be loved all year long by the recipient. I made mine out of a cozy pink sherpa I had on hand from Joann (leftover from this bunny costume I made 5 years ago!).
To stuff it, I repurposed an old throw pillow I had been saving for a project like this so was glad to have it handy. When my girls found it in my sewing room they immediately started asking if it’s for them, so I think I have some Valentine’s Day goodies to buy to add to it before the big day.
