Fun DIY Pillows To Sew
Learning how to make a pillow is one of those fast, easy, and rewarding sewing projects that we can all enjoy, whether you’ve been sewing for years or are a beginner.
There are so many ways to customize a pillow, and once you know the basics of how to sew a pillow, the options are endless! And why not make a table runner to match?!
So if you’re ready to up your DIY pillow sewing game, I’m sharing some of my favorite pillow tutorials that will up your sewing game and leave you inspired and ready to sew some new pillows for your home.
How to Make a Pillow
When you’re learning how to sew a pillow, you’ll find that there are many different techniques and ways to choose from.
From envelope style, where the pillow back fabrics overlap each other and a pillow form can just slide inside, to a zippered opening, to a pillow without a removable cover, where the opening is stitched closed, the tutorials below will give you lots of options so try a few and find your favorite method!
DIY pillows also have different options for filling. Some of the projects below are pillow covers that are placed over a pre-made pillow form, and some are made to not be removable, with the pillow stuffed directly with filling and then stitched permanently closed.
